Make sure that you can devote at least the minimum suggested time. Often the time required is more than the recommended as the pupil is unable to lead a disciplined routine. It is very easy to get into the habit of putting things off for the next day. That's why it is important to set deadlines and do daily work. If time management is one of your strong suits then you shouldn't have a problem being an online student. Often schools provide advisors to help you via email. If you aren't sure about how well you'd do, take a few classes to find out. If you work well in that setting then you can pursue that elusive degree.
