Shiny facial colors contain mica that clogs pores and causes skin irritations. Coal tar, derivatives, heavy cream and carmine are some other ingredients that irritate the skin leading to acne growth. Lip-glosses that are shinier contain comedogenic elements that clog pores to a large extent. So glosses that are matte finish are much better in this regard. Eye creams contain large quantities of moisturizers than normal creams and they clog pores around the eyes. Hygiene: Harsh chemicals on skin, over washing and scrubbing cause irritation.
