Today, I'm going to share a very useful tip with you. Why you need to brand yourself as the expert and the go-to-guy in your niche, and how you can do just that. It is very crucial that you position yourself as the expert in your niche simply because when people view you as an expert, they'll go to you once they have any questions in mind or if they want to consult you. Once these people regard you as the expert, they're very likely to heed your advice. There is a high chance when you recommend affiliate products, they'll be eager to buy. This, of course, means increased income for you. It's like when you go to the doctor when you were sick. The last time you were ill with a high fever, where did you go for consultation. Your local doctor right? Why did you go there? Well, I sure bet it's because you view him as the expert when it comes to treating your fever (or any other illness) right? So, the same concept applies to affiliate marketing. Heck, they apply to everything: every industry and every market you can think of. As an affiliate marketer, you want to always strive to be the expert in your niche. When people look up to you and trust you, recommending affiliate products become so much easier. To achieve expert status in your niche, there are a few things you can do: 1. Always provide quality content for your readers on a consistent basis. You can do this through your website, blog, or newsletters. Feed them with tips and the latest updates twice every month. If you can, once every week is even better. 2. Write good, information-rich articles and submit them to article directories. Remember to include a resource box at the end of the article. In this box write a little about yourself and what your expertise is, then include your website URL. This is where you brand yourself to the potential millions of people searching for information you've provided. 3. Write your newsletters, articles, reports and ebooks with authority. Be confident. When you write your content, also make sure it is free of grammatical and spelling mistakes. Also make sure your writing style is easy to understand and follow. Writing in conversational-style english works best. Unless your niche is teaching English, I don't see the need to write in formal, vocabulary-rich style. 4. Provide free consultation to your readers if they have any problems they can't fix. Of course if you have a very huge list of subscribers, then you might want to limit the number of consultations. After you've helped them solve their problems, you could ask their permission to publish their stories for other readers to learn. These real case studies would provide fresh content to your newsletter as well. One important point I want to stress is that becoming an expert in your niche takes time, effort, dedication, and experience. Nobody becomes an expert overnight. It's a cumulative process. So start your branding now. Not today or tomorrow, but now.
