What is the best way to organize a home-based business? There is the option of having a completely separate room in your home that keeps business away from the rest of the family life but that is not as popular as it once was. Consider purchasing a laptop and cell phone if you have not already, so that you are not always tied to your desk. Sometimes it is nice to go to a park and sit in the fresh air while you are getting work done. Decide exactly how many hours you are going to work during a day or how many hours need to be dedicated to a particular project. It is very easy when you are working from home simply to work all day and into the night because your office is so accessible. You need to be able to set boundaries as to when you will and will not work. Take breaks, step away from your work and go to lunch even if it is in another part of your house or in your backyard.
