One Simple Step To Live For Breath

How we live? It is simple, we breathe, if we don't, we will die. Simple logic, right?

For your information, we breathe about 11,300 litres of air via our nose or mouth through the windpipe to our lungs each day. Can't believe it myself that we simply breathe so much air each day after I got this information from a doctor friend.

Many people don't know how we breathe.

The oxygen that finally reaches the bloodstream has travelled through our body's filter system. Many particles in the air can be trapped by mucus in the nasal passages, windpipe, bronchi or even bronchioles, and then the hair-like structures called cilia which line these passages help propel this polluted mucus back into the mouth so that it can be discharged.

This filtering system, along with sneezing and coughing mechanisms, clears the airways of unwanted particles.

At the same time, the amount of air passing to and from the alveoli and bronchioles is controlled by the expansion and contraction of the bronchioles' smooth muscle walls.

Additionally, some respiratory bacteria and viruses can be neutralized by various antibodies in the lining of the airways and cells of the alveoli called macrophages, to safeguard the quality of oxygen entering the airways.

The reason why we are not breathing properly is due to our breathing patterns...is assumption that the way we breathe is how everybody breathes, that it happens naturally.

So, you may ask me, so what is there to think about? Well, in fact there is much to think about!

Do you know how your breathing pattern affects your health? And that incorrect breathing habit mean an inadequate oxygen supply is getting to the billions of cells in our body?

The good news is that we can change our breathing patterns, improve the supply of oxygen to our body, and thus purify and enriching our blood, adding vitality to our body and our mind, which will leads to less asthmatic problems in the long term.

Think about it...

Our breathing pattern has been with us since the day we are born, so it does take a lot of unlearning. But no matter how old you are, you can learn to breathe correctly.

The majority of people inhale a limited amount of air, and shallow breathing becomes a habit. We have to learn the art of breathing our way to better health.

When we inhale and inflate our lungs, the diaphragm flattens out. When we exhale and deflate our lungs, it rises. Actually, this is what should happen. However, most people only take very shallow breaths and do not use their diaphragm properly. The aim is to improve the function and activity of the diaphragm, which will increase the intake of oxygen. This is the ultimate in breathing.

People with asthma need a greater supply of oxygen than non-asthmatics and
can relieve the tension in their respiratory passages by breathing
correctly.

Even though you may know how to breathe correctly in order to avoid asthma, but all these information will be of no use if no action is being taken.

Having the knowledge is not power, applying the knowledge is true power to free yourself the agony of having asthma again. You should never add to, or alter any component of your current asthma treatment without first consulting your physician.

However, many asthmatics sometimes tend to take breathing for granted and they should be be conscious and aware that in order to have an asthma-free lifestyle, a proper and yet effective asthma recovery system is necessary. Even without a proper asthma management system, there will not be much asthma free lifestyle to hope for.

Applying the knowledge of how to breathe better with an effective asthma management system even your little one can use to enjoy asthma-free life once again.
