These folks, commonly referred to as potential customers, only see advertising and do not know or care whether it is paid ads or not. Being an affiliate with well known businesses may lead them to the conclusion that your site must be pretty good to keep company with such big businesses. Surrounding yourself with good people has long been an accepted method of helping your business get better, By bringing in the smartest and brightest stars, new and innovative ideas have helped many businesses prosper. The same theory could be applied to network marketing as having your name associated with the biggest and brightest companies can make your site shine even brighter. Perhaps a better name would be success by association. For example, you run a computer hardware sales company on the internet and become an affiliate of Cisco, many may interpret that as an endorsement of your business by one of the biggest computer network hardware manufacturers, which gives your name a boost.
