You can protect an entire workbook, one worksheet, or certain cells within a worksheet. To protect the entire workbook or one worksheet, click "tools" from the menu bar, select "protection" and then choose your level of protection. To allow users to change cells, choose "tools," "protection," and then select "allow users to edit ranges." Next, select "new," then the graph icon, and you'll be able to use your mouse to select the range of cells that can be edited.
