You will be able to bring your own decorations and foods but won't have to worry about tables and chairs, coffee pots, etc. Even if you are on a tight budget you can host a wonderful baby shower. Use flowers from your garden to decorate or visit a local grocery store and choose a few bouquets of flowers that are reasonably priced. Fill small vases and containers and use the flowers and candles as your decorations. You can make place cards and make the food yourself or enlist the help of others. You could also talk to the guests and see if they are willing to share the cost of having the baby shower at a tearoom or local restaurant. Another unique idea would be to plan the baby shower entirely around the theme of the nursery. Use invitations that showcase the nursery theme. Let's say the nursery theme is going to be the circus. Choose circus table wear, decorations, etc. Not only will the shower be unique, it will also encourage the guests to choose gifts that will furnish the nursery.
